Hakimi Sees PSG as Superior in the Second Leg Against Dortmund
Achraf Hakimi, defender for Paris Saint-Germain, expressed his disappointment on Wednesday that his team didn't convert the chances they had against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals and declared that in the return leg, PSG will surely score.
"We created quite a few chances. It just didn't want to go in today. In the return leg, the ball will go in. We're happy to have generated those chances," said the Moroccan international to Movistar Plus.
He also spoke about Füllkrug's goal and regretted not preventing it after studying for several days how the German team attacks: "We've worked all this week, watched videos of what Dortmund usually does. One of their strengths is the ball into space. We should have marked tighter, and for the return leg, we need to be more focused," he commented.
Additionally, he revealed what instructions Luis Enrique gave to his players after a erratic first half: "He told us that we had to go out to dominate, to win, to create chances. But it couldn't happen. We're content and now preparing for the return leg," concluded the Moroccan.
