Good News for Real Madrid Ahead of Champions League Clash
The Brazilian Rodrygo Goes trained with his teammates after recovering from the injury that sidelined him for the past three weeks.
Brazilian forward Rodrygo Goes, who injured his right hamstring on October 22, participated in Real Madrid’s final training session before their Champions League clash against AC Milan, pushing to make the squad.
However, Thibaut Courtois, still recovering from a left adductor injury sustained on the same day, remains out along with David Alaba and Dani Carvajal, both working through their own recovery processes for significant knee injuries.
While Rodrygo's return was initially expected by Saturday for LaLiga’s match against Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabéu, Carlo Ancelotti included him in Real Madrid’s last training before the critical fourth Champions League group stage match, which marks the midpoint of the new competition format.
In the first 15 minutes of the session open to the media, the team warmed up with usual drills and rondos, joined by academy players Fran González (goalkeeper), Lorenzo Aguado (right-back), and Chema Andrés (midfielder). González and Aguado are expected to make the Champions League squad to bolster Madrid's lineup, as only one first-team goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin, and one right-back, Lucas Vázquez, are available due to the injuries to Courtois and Carvajal.
