From Barcelona to Dortmund: Another tough return for Dembélé
The talented French forward of PSG, Ousmane Dembélé, will visit another of his former teams, Borussia Dortmund, after knocking out Barcelona in the Champions League, where he scored a goal and provided an assist to eliminate the "Blaugranas" in the Quarterfinals.
Dembélé is still remembered with pain at Dortmund, as the French player left the club in 2017 to join Barcelona after forming a formidable attack alongside the current Marseille star, Aubameyang.
The CEO of Dortmund, Hans-Joachim Watzke, who sold the young star for 143.9 million dollars, stated:
"It is true that this episode was frustrating in hindsight, especially because Ousmane had a fantastic first season, delivering world-class performances and winning the hearts of the fans."
On the other hand, a veteran of the "Gelbe Wand" remembered Ousmane Dembélé like this:
"I had never seen a player integrate and impose himself so quickly as Dembélé did. In terms of showmanship and explosiveness, he was even better than Erling Haaland or Jude Bellingham. He would have been considered one of the best players in the club's history, but now he is persona non grata at Dortmund."
Dembélé is one of those forwards who thrive in adversity, and it is expected that he will demonstrate his tremendous quality, as he did against Barcelona.
