Endrick Vows Lifelong Commitment to Real Madrid After Historic Champions League Debut
The Brazilian forward expressed his joy after scoring in his UEFA Champions League debut and declared lifelong love for Real Madrid.
Brazilian forward Endrick, of Real Madrid, celebrated his Champions League debut with a historic goal but downplayed the significance of his record, expressing his desire to help the club throughout his career.
“I’m very happy with my debut and to score my first Champions League goal, but above all, I’m happy to help Real Madrid, which is what I want,” he said in an interview with the club's media.
"My Whole Life"
“I didn’t know it was the youngest goal. I was the youngest in my La Liga debut too, and now in the Champions League, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is helping Real Madrid, as I want to do all my life,” Endrick added.
Endrick jokingly mentioned his goal, where he didn’t pass to Mbappé or Vinícius, who were open. “In the first play, I passed, but in the second, I saw Kylian and Vini, but I thought the best option was to shoot, and it ended up being a goal.”
“When I was warming up, Rüdiger told me if I was ready to score, and that's what I was thinking. The whole team is very happy with the win. It’s such a joy to be part of this group,” he acknowledged.
Lastly, he praised Thibaut Courtois’ performance, which was crucial to the victory. “When a striker gets close and he pulls off a save, it’s incredible. He’ll definitely be on my FIFA team,” he joked.
