Carlo Ancelotti Confirms Major Setback for Champions League Final
The Real Madrid coach confirmed that Aurélien Tchouaméni will not be recovered for Wembley and will not play against Borussia Dortmund in pursuit of the Fifteenth.
French midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni will not be fit to play in the Champions League final on June 1st at Wembley against Borussia Dortmund, making him the second confirmed absence for Real Madrid, according to Carlo Ancelotti, who is already focusing on recovering for the Euro 2024.
Injured since May 8th, during the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Tchouaméni's stress injury in his left foot will prevent him from participating in the Champions League final.
Although there were hopes within the coaching staff that the French player would recover in time for the final, after two weeks of treatment, progress has been minimal, and there is no chance of Tchouaméni playing in the final in eight days.
"He is doing individual work, he won't make it for the final, he is ruled out," confirmed Carlo Ancelotti in a press conference. "I think he can recover for the Euro," he added, indicating the possible return date for Tchouaméni, who will miss the last five matches of the season for Real Madrid after being one of the players with the most minutes played, alongside Uruguayan Fede Valverde and German Antonio Rüdiger.
