(VIDEO) Mbappé's Brilliant Reaction on the Field to Endrick's Goal
In the play leading to the goal, the Brazilian had the option to assist the Frenchman but chose to finish it himself, and it worked out. This is how Kylian took it. Unmissable.
One of the standout names in Real Madrid's victorious debut in the new era of the Champions League was, without a doubt, Endrick.
The Brazilian had just 10 minutes plus stoppage time, as Ancelotti didn’t bring him on in the match against Stuttgart until the 80th minute.
In that short span, he managed to create several chances and scored the goal that sealed the game in the 95th minute—a play in which he could have passed to Kylian Mbappé.
"Endrick is crazy. He did something no one else would do," said his fellow countryman Rodrygo after the match.
"He’s got a big personality, and it worked out for him. If not, he would’ve had big problems," joked Antonio Rüdiger after the game.
Mbappé’s Reaction
On the field, no one expected Endrick to finish the play himself—not even Mbappé, who was waiting for the pass from the Brazilian.
The Frenchman’s reaction, as a prime spectator of the action, went viral on social media. Mbappé threw his arms up in a gesture that was a mix of resignation and acceptance of the final outcome.
"In the first play, I passed it, but in the second, I saw Kylian and Vini, but I thought the best option was to shoot, and it went in," Endrick said after the match.
