(VIDEO) Endrick Breaks Raúl González's Record with Stunning Goal
In his UEFA Champions League debut for Real Madrid, Brazilian star Endrick set three new records with a spectacular goal. At just 18 years and 58 days old, he became the youngest player in Real Madrid’s history to score in all international competitions, the youngest Brazilian to score in the Champions League, and the youngest Real Madrid player to score in the competition.
Endrick surpassed Raúl González, who previously held the record as the youngest scorer for Real Madrid in international competitions at 18 years and 113 days. Raúl's record covered all European competitions, including the European Cup (now Champions League), UEFA Cup, Cup Winners' Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup, Club World Cup, Ibero-American Cup, and Latin Cup.
Endrick's record-breaking goal came in the final moments of the match against Stuttgart. He finished a counterattack with a powerful shot, sealing the 3-1 victory for Madrid.
This goal not only established him as the youngest Brazilian to score in the European Cup/Champions League, breaking Eguinaldo’s 2013 record of 19 years and 126 days, but also marked his second goal for the club, in just his first appearance in the top continental competition.
