The Süper Lig leader, Fenerbahce, faced a tough challenge against Samsunspor and surprisingly ended in a 1-1 draw in Matchday 21 of the Süper Lig. The home team halted a three-game winning streak in the league.

Fenerbahce dominated the first half, managing to open the scoring in the 12th minute after Dusan Tadic delivered an extraordinary one-touch assist to Irfan Kahveci, who netted the ball past Okan Kocuc.

However, in the second half, Samsunspor shockingly equalized the match in the 62nd minute with a free-kick that Dominik Livakovic initially saved but was later ruled as having crossed the goal line after a VAR review.

Despite Fenerbahce's dominance for much of the game, Samsunspor had several opportunities to clinch the victory. With this result, "Sari Kanarya" now has 54 points, reducing the gap with their direct competitor, Galatasaray, to just three points.
