Mourinho Aims to Sign Barcelona Star
The Portuguese coach would have his sights on this Barcelona player to reinforce Fenerbahce.
José Mourinho and Fenerbahce are looking to sign Barcelona's Spanish footballer Ansu Fati, and with his future up in the air, it could become a reality for the next season. According to Turkish media, Fenerbahce's sporting director, Mario Branco, has contacted Fati's agent, Jorge Mendes, and Barcelona's sporting director, Deco, to inquire about loaning the young talent.
Fenerbahce wants to make a big impact next season and is determined to give José Mourinho the best tools to achieve that. Names like Darwin Núñez have come up, even though it seems unlikely that the Uruguayan will go on loan. However, another name has emerged to reinforce the Turkish team: Ansu Fati, whose future is uncertain, and a change of scenery might do him good.
The good relationship between Mourinho and Jorge Mendes, Fati's agent, could facilitate Fati's move to Fenerbahce, as it's believed the Portuguese coach is keen on bringing him to the team no matter what.
On the other hand, Fati is also aware that he'll have another chance to convince Hansi Flick to give him opportunities in Barcelona's first team. Last season, under Xavi, he didn't get many minutes and went on loan to Brighton in England.
However, Ansu doesn't just have the option of going to Turkey and playing under José Mourinho. Sevilla is another team in the mix, also looking to sign him for the next season.
