Galatasaray solidified their position as the reigning champions and leaders of the Süper Lig by defeating Alanyaspor in Week 8 of the Süper Lig with a 1-0 scoreline, thanks to a goal from 24-year-old Turkish talent Yunus Akgün.

Following a previous match where Victor Osimhen debuted as a scorer and got injured, Galatasaray showed why they are the current Süper Lig champions, even without their star player.

They entered the first half determined to wrap up the game quickly, successfully scoring the first and only goal in the 28th minute. Yunus Akgün brilliantly maneuvered past the defense and chipped the ball into the visiting team's goal.

With this win, Galatasaray remains at the top of the standings with 22 total points and a goal differential of +16, while Alanyaspor stays in 11th place with nine points.
