Fenerbahçe Signs En-Nesyri from Sevilla
José Mourinho has a new player to continue strengthening the Turkish team for next season.
Moroccan forward Youssef En-Nesyri is now a player for Turkish club Fenerbahçe SK following an agreement with Sevilla, the Spanish club announced on Thursday.
"The Moroccan international forward, who joined Nervión in January 2020, leaves Sevilla FC after four and a half seasons, with 196 games, two Europa League titles, and 73 goals to his name. This makes him one of the top ten scorers in the club's history and one of the top five foreign scorers," stated the Sevilla club.
En-Nesyri, who had a contract until June 2025, wraps up a significant chapter with Sevilla FC, having played 196 games: 144 in La Liga, 20 in the Champions League, 19 in the Europa League, 12 in the Copa del Rey, and two in the UEFA Super Cup.
"Sevilla FC thanks Youssef En-Nesyri for his great contribution to the club's successes in the past five years and wishes him the best of luck in his new professional stage," the statement read.
The Moroccan forward did not participate in Sevilla's training session last Monday at their sports city, awaiting the official announcement of his transfer to Fenerbahçe, which was made this Thursday.
