Roma Dismisses Head Coach Following Another Defeat
"The search for a new head coach has already begun and will be announced in the coming days," added the club.
Roma announced this Sunday, just minutes after their 2-3 loss to Bologna, the dismissal of Croatian head coach Ivan Juric.
"We would like to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work over the past few weeks. He managed a challenging environment with the utmost professionalism, and we are grateful for his efforts. We wish him the best for his future," read the official statement.
The new coach will be Roma’s fourth in 2024, following the Portuguese José Mourinho, the Italian Daniele De Rossi, and Juric, in a project that has been adrift for months.
In twelve games, Juric's team has only won four, and those were against theoretically weaker opponents, such as Udinese, Venezia, Dinamo Kiev, and Torino. The other eight matches ended with five losses and three draws.
Looking ahead, Roberto Mancini, recently dismissed as the head coach of Saudi Arabia, appears as a possible replacement for Juric. Additionally, the Italian Massimiliano Allegri, former Juventus coach, is currently without a contract and is being considered as one of the options by the club.
