Julián Álvarez on His Future: "When the Games Are Over..."
Julián Álvarez, forward for Manchester City and the Argentine Olympic football team, stated regarding his future that, once the Olympic Games are over, he will "take some time to calmly think about what he wants for himself."
"I'll have time to make my decision. I haven’t stopped to think things through. When the Olympic Games are over, I'll take some time to calmly think about what I want for myself," he said in an interview with DSports Radio.
"Last season, I was one of the players with the most minutes on the team in the Premier League. But it’s true that, in some important matches, when you’re left out, it’s not pleasant," added Julián Álvarez, who left the door open to leaving Manchester City.
Additionally, the forward, formerly of River Plate, spoke about the possible return of coach Marcelo Gallardo to the Argentine club.
"As a fan, I always want River to do well. I hope Marcelo returns to the club and succeeds... If it happens, I’ll obviously be very happy due to his history with the club. I hope he comes with all his energy to put River where it needs to be," he commented.
Álvarez is currently focused with the Argentine Olympic football team in Lyon, where they will face Ukraine on Tuesday, aiming to secure a place in the quarter-finals with a victory or draw.
