Como Offers Free Drinks if They Beat Atalanta
Como, the team coached by Spaniard Cesc Fàbregas, announced this Tuesday that in the event of a victory against Atalanta in Serie A, which would be their first of the season, they will offer a free drink to fans at a selection of bars associated with the city.
"If you're in Como, watch tonight's match at one of these bars and get a free drink if we win," announced the newly promoted Serie A team.
Fans of the team, many of whom were affected by the postponement of the match, originally scheduled for Monday but delayed due to weather conditions, will be able to watch the game at one of the 10 bars the club has partnered with. In case of a win for the 'lariani', a free drink will be offered.
For every victory, whether at home or away, Como will provide a round of free drinks to customers seated at associated bars at the final whistle.
The initiative, known as 'Cheers4Como', continues the tradition the club started last season.
So far, in their return to the top flight after 21 years, Como have yet to win. They were eliminated in the first round of the Coppa Italia and have only collected 2 points from 2 draws against Bologna and Cagliari. However, their performances have been better than the results suggest.
In fact, they came close to drawing against Udinese but missed a penalty in the 95th minute, and they were leading 2-0 against Bologna, only to concede the equalizer in the 91st minute.
