Chiellini Returns to Juventus... as an Executive
Italian football legend Giorgio Chiellini, former Juventus Turin player, has returned to his lifelong club, but this time in an executive role as Head of Institutional Relations.
"Chiellini has never stopped being 'bianconero.' Starting September 16, he'll wear the Juventus executive badge as Head of Institutional Relations," announced the club in an official statement. Chiellini, who holds a degree in Economics and Commerce and a doctorate 'cum laude' in Management and Administration, will work directly under Juventus' CEO, Maurizio Scanavino, according to the club.
Born in Pisa, Tuscany, in 1984, Chiellini began his career at Livorno (2000-2004), moved to Fiorentina (2004-2005), and then made his mark at Juventus (2005-2022), where he truly blossomed as a player before finishing his career with a season and a half at Los Angeles FC. The charismatic left-footed center-back ended his 23-year career as a professional footballer on December 12, 2023.
Over the course of his career, Chiellini accumulated an impressive list of honors, including the Euro 2020 with Italy, 9 Serie A titles, 5 Coppa Italia trophies, 3 Supercoppa Italiana titles with Juventus, as well as a Supporters' Shield and an MLS title during his time in the United States.
