Nearly 20 Players to Leave Arsenal Ahead of Next Premier League Season
The British club announced on Monday that at least 19 players are out of contract and won’t be renewing with the team, making them free agents for the upcoming season.
Aiming to stay at the top of the table and continue the tough battle for the Premier League title, Arsenal communicated that there’s a list of 19 players who are ready to leave as their contracts have expired and no renewals were offered, making them immediate free agents.
Two of the standout names are Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares, who have already left the club. Elneny, 31, ends an eight-year stint with Arsenal, during which he won an FA Cup in 2017 and played 161 games. This season, however, he only featured in six matches across all competitions.
Similarly, Soares leaves with very few minutes played this season, having only appeared in six matches. It’s worth noting that Soares almost left the club back in January.
The full list of players is as follows:
Mauro Bandeira, Omari Benjamin, Luis Brown, Catalin Cirjan, Noah Cooper, Sabrina D’Angelo, Henry Davies, Ovie Ejeheri, Mohamed Elneny, Taylor Foran, Hubert Graczyk, James Hillson, Henry Jeffcott, Tyreece John-Jules, Alex Kirk, James Lannin-Sweet, Kaylan Marckese, Vivianne Miedema, Arthur Okonkwo, Kamarni Ryan, Cedric Soares, and Kido Taylor-Hart.
