The Portuguese manager led Manchester United during that 2017-2018 season, when his team finished second, 19 points behind City. Mourinho considers that runner-up finish one of the greatest achievements of his career, given the circumstances.

"I think we still have a chance to win the league," Mourinho said this Wednesday in Istanbul, ahead of the Europa League match against Manchester United.  

"Maybe City will be sanctioned with a points deduction, and we’ll win that league. Then, they’ll have to pay me the bonus and give me the medal," he added.  

Regarding Manchester United's current situation, with only 11 points from a possible 24 and without a win in their two European games, Mourinho stated that he no longer thinks about the club and wishes them well since his dismissal in 2018.  

"I left without any hard feelings and wish them the best. If things aren’t going well, it’s not something that makes me happy, but I don’t have the time or reason to dwell on what happened or what’s happening there now," he concluded.
