Injury Plague Hits Manchester United: Yoro, Hojlund, and Now Rashford!
Injuries just won't leave the British team alone, and now they'll have to deal with the absences of Yoro, Hojlund, Rashford, and Antony.
The problems for Manchester United keep piling up, as injuries within the team don't stop and Ten Hag's concerns grow. With just a week before the Premier League kicks off against Fulham and the Community Shield match against Manchester City, the Dutch coach already has a list of players who won't be seeing action soon due to preseason injuries.
The most significant injury is to United's new star signing, Leny Yoro. The 18-year-old French player from Lille, for whom the English team paid approximately $68 million, got injured in his second match as a United player while facing Arsenal and had to be substituted in the first half.
Yoro was seen on crutches on Tuesday, leaving the team hotel, with uncertainty about how long he would be out. Today, it was confirmed that he will be out for three months and will miss nine Premier League matches and the start of the Europa League after breaking the metatarsal in his left foot.
Additionally, Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund also suffered an injury during the match against Arsenal and had to leave the game. The forward damaged his hamstrings and will be out of action for at least a month and a half.
However, the injuries continued, and now in the friendly against Betis, two more players joined the coach's blacklist: Antony and Marcus Rashford. Rashford suffered a tough tackle from Altamira on his right foot, requiring assistance and unable to continue. Similarly, Antony couldn't continue 23 minutes after entering the field.
