Guardiola Calls for a "Reset" at City
Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, urged his players to "reset" during the upcoming international break after suffering four consecutive losses, something that has never happened in his career.
The 'Sky Blues' lost to Brighton & Hove Albion this Saturday, marking their first four-game losing streak since 2006.
"I don't know what needs to change after the international break, but we'll be better just because we'll have players to play," said the Spanish coach, who has been dealing with an injury crisis in recent weeks.
"We need to reset our minds during the break, and the players will come back in shape. We will have to play every three days. In recent years, we've won a lot, but we haven't had so many injuries," he added, commenting that the game against Brighton was not bad at all.
"The guys played very, very well today, so I have nothing to regret. They were magnificent in many aspects. Brighton played very well with the ball and had a lot of pace up front. In the first half, we were brilliant, but in the second, we were tired, fatigue set in, and they were able to make changes that we couldn't."
With this result, City could find themselves five points behind Liverpool after eleven games.
