Aston Villa announced on Monday that Colombian player Jhon Durán, one of the standout performers of the season in England, has signed a new contract with the Birmingham club that will keep him with the team until 2030. 

His previous contract was set to expire in 2028, so with this renewal, Durán will extend his stay with the English club for an additional two years, as revealed by the club in an official statement on its website.

The 20-year-old international has scored six goals for the team so far this season, including the winning goal last Wednesday against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League. 

Durán has also been pivotal in securing victories in matches against West Ham, Leicester, and Everton.

The Colombian player joined the 'Villans' in January 2023 from the Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer (MLS).
