Chelsea and Arsenal Make Irresistible Offer for Nico Williams
Chelsea and Arsenal are fighting over the signing of the Spanish star, Nico Williams.
The young Spanish star of Athletic Club, Nico Williams, is making waves with strong interest from Chelsea and Arsenal. Both teams are reportedly ready to pay the €58 million ($62 million) release clause for the 21-year-old forward and offer him a salary of €15 million ($25.5 million), three times what he currently earns at his club.
Barcelona is also interested in Williams; however, due to their financial situation, they can't afford the asking price. Despite this, Barcelona is eager to pair Lamine Yamal with Nico, and Laporta's hopes rest on selling a key player like Raphinha or de Jong to fund the transfer.
On the other hand, Athletic Club’s main option would be to loan the player and keep him for another year, potentially earning more than the €58 million set in his release clause. However, the interested clubs are determined to buy the player outright while he's still available at that price.
