Brighton Sends Ansu Fati Back to Barcelona
Brighton & Hove Albion bid farewell to Ansu Fati, who will return to FC Barcelona after an uneven loan spell with the Premier League club.
Brighton posted on their social media, saying "Thanks for the memories, Ansu," along with photos and videos of the player who joined last winter to boost Roberto De Zerbi's attack.
However, physical issues and a lack of form during the crucial part of the season prevented him from shining. In six months, he managed to make 22 appearances and scored only two goals.
The Spanish forward played just over 600 minutes during this time and didn't impress the south coast club enough to consider a potential permanent move for next season.
Fati, who is still under contract with Barcelona, will now return to the club to work under new coach Hansi Flick, who replaced the recently sacked Xavi Hernández.
