Carlos Vela Pushes to Bring Antoine Griezmann to LAFC
The Mexican forward was introduced upon his return to Los Angeles FC and stated that he hopes to play with his former teammate again.
The Mexican Carlos Vela, introduced as the newest player for Los Angeles FC, expressed his wish that one day his French friend Antoine Griezmann, currently at Atlético Madrid, would join the LA team and highlighted how much the forward enjoys the American lifestyle.
"Whether we play together or not, we will always have a good relationship. That's the beauty of football. I hope that one day he comes here and can be a part of this league, this club," said Vela, who returned to LAFC after leaving the club last December and taking a few months off from football.
"He really likes this lifestyle, and he's a big fan of American sports," Vela added.
Vela has agreed to a contract for the remainder of the 2024 season, with a club option for 2025.
Considered one of the best players in MLS history, Vela is LAFC's all-time leader in matches played (152), minutes (11,194), goals (78), and assists (59).
