Marseille secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Montpellier on Matchday 8 of Ligue 1, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side moving closer to the top of the table.

Elye Wahi opened the scoring just one minute into the game, setting the tone for the visitors. Before halftime, Amine Harit and Pierre-Emil Højbjerg extended the lead to three goals.

In the second half, Mason Greenwood added the fourth in the 58th minute after a brilliant assist from Wahi, as Marseille continued their dominance.

Luis Henrique sealed the 5-0 scoreline in the 73rd minute, pushing Marseille up to third place in the standings, trailing only PSG and Monaco.
