Lens, one of the best home teams, faced off against the sixth-worst away team in Ligue 1, but one that's been upsetting the big boys in the league and has shifted its course from mid-table to chasing European spots. Still, Lens avoided any upsets by scoring two goals in the first half and conceding just one to go up 2-1 at halftime.
In the second half, Lens' midfield took charge, keeping the game under control and not letting their defense crumble, which helped them extend their lead to 3-1 and seal the game in front of their home crowd.
With this result, Lens will be keeping an eye on the other games, as they're now level with Monaco and Lille in the race for Champions League spots, aiming for the top of the table in the second half of the season. Meanwhile, Strasbourg takes a step back from their good run and remains in tenth place in the mid-table.
