PSG Extends Winning Streak and Edges Closer to Historic Unbeaten Ligue 1 Season
With a heavily rotated squad and many key players on the bench or rested, Paris Saint-Germain comfortably defeated Le Havre 2-1 at the Parc des Princes to claim their tenth consecutive Ligue 1 victory. Already crowned champions, Luis Enrique’s team remains focused on the Champions League, but they’re also on the brink of making history in France by completing the season undefeated — something no club has ever achieved in Ligue 1.
Despite fielding a side full of backups, PSG dominated against a Le Havre team desperately fighting to avoid relegation. Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marquinhos, Fabian Ruiz, Nuno Mendes, Vitinha, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia all started on the bench, while Ousmane Dembélé wasn’t even in the squad. Yet the Parisians showed their depth with impressive performances from rising stars and squad players.
PSG on fire
Just eight minutes in, Desire Doué, one of PSG’s standout youngsters this season, opened the scoring after a precise assist from Bradley Barcola. From there, the hosts controlled the tempo and piled on the pressure. Gonçalo Ramos, Doué, and Barcola all had chances to extend the lead, but Mathieu Gorgelin, Le Havre’s keeper, was outstanding in goal and kept his team alive.

Shortly after halftime, Gonçalo Ramos doubled PSG’s lead with a neat finish following a setup by Senny Mayulu. However, Le Havre responded around the hour mark. Issa Soumaré headed in a corner delivered by Egyptian midfielder Koka, cutting the deficit and offering his side a glimmer of hope.
Coming off a heavy defeat to Rennes, Le Havre tried to stay compact but struggled to contain the wave of Parisian attacks. Despite the late goal, PSG remained in control and saw out the game.
With only five matches remaining, PSG is now tantalizingly close to achieving an undefeated league campaign — a historic feat in French football. Meanwhile, Le Havre remains in the relegation play-off zone, just three points clear of Saint-Étienne. As PSG eyes European glory, they continue their relentless march at home, building what could be a legendary season.
