PSG Announces Historic Signing of Ecuadorian Willian Pacho
Willian Pacho is the new signing for PSG, becoming the first Ecuadorian to wear the Parisian club's jersey.
PSG announced on Friday the signing of Ecuadorian defender Willian Pacho from Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 22-year-old Ecuadorian has signed a five-year contract with the Parisian club, keeping him until 2029.
Pacho, who will wear jersey number 51, became one of the standout players in the Bundesliga last season after just one year.
His quality and strength earned him a place on Ecuador's national team, and he was called up for the World Cup in Qatar.
The defender has 16 caps and two goals for La Tri and recently played a key role in the Copa América.
A Historic Signing
Willian Pacho’s move to PSG is a historic milestone as he becomes the first Ecuadorian player to join the club.
“I’m very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain. I hope to bring my personality and show all my determination to win many trophies,” said Pacho.
“We are delighted to welcome Willian Pacho to the Paris Saint-Germain family. Willian is a fantastic young international player and the new great talent joining our club. At Paris Saint-Germain, we continue to build our project by relying on an amazing, young, and talented team, and, above all, a collective framework,” said PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
