Olympique Marseille Comes Back with 10 Men Against Olympique Lyon
Olympique Marseille pulled off an impressive 2-3 victory against Olympique Lyon in Matchday 5 of Ligue 1, with goals from Pol Lirola, Ulisses Garcia, and Jonathan Rowe for Marseille, while Lyon's scorers were Duje Caleta-Car and Ryan Cherki.
The first half was dominated by Lyon's offensive power, especially after Marseille went down to 10 men just five minutes in. Despite being a man up, Lyon pushed forward and found the equalizer in the 90+3 minute thanks to Ryan Cherki. Just moments later, Jonathan Rowe drove the ball to the edge of the box and blasted it into the net, securing the comeback victory for Marseille at 2-3.
With this result, Olympique de Marseille stays in second place in the Ligue 1 standings with 13 points, while Olympique Lyon drops to 14th place with only four points, sitting close to the relegation zone.
