French international Adrien Rabiot, who has been a free agent since leaving Juventus in June, is now a new player for Olympique de Marseille (OM). The club did not specify the duration of the contract for the former PSG player.

Rabiot's signing has stirred controversy among Parisian fans, who have criticized the move of one of their top youth players from the past decade (2012-2019, with 227 appearances, 24 goals, and 14 assists) to their main rival, OM.

The transfer has also drawn attention because Rabiot is joining a team that is not participating in any European competition this season and is likely to see a reduction in his salary, as he earned 7 million euros annually in Turin, according to Italian media.

Rabiot, who spent five seasons with Juve (winning the Scudetto in 2020 and the Coppa Italia in 2021 and 2024), has made 48 appearances for the French national team.

When could Rabiot debut for Marseille?

The French midfielder might see his first action this Sunday if coach Roberto De Zerbi deems it appropriate. He could make his debut in Ligue 1, and it will be in a notable fixture.
