Is Nuno Mendes Available for PSG?
Injured for much of last season, the Portuguese left-back has resumed training with the team and is expected to participate in Portugal's Nations League matches before returning to Paris.
Paris Saint-Germain received good news. Absent from PSG's last Ligue 1 match due to a viral syndrome and frequently plagued by physical issues, Nuno Mendes seems to be back in top form.
According to the Portuguese media outlet Ojogo, the left-back was present at Portugal's last collective training session, led by Roberto Martínez. He will therefore be available for the two Nations League matches scheduled for tomorrow against Croatia and Sunday against Scotland, alongside his teammates Vitinha and João Neves. Unless an unexpected injury occurs, Nuno Mendes should return to Paris with the ability to continue competing.
This is a relief for Luis Enrique, who does not have a real replacement for the Portuguese on the left flank of his defense and was forced to improvise in his absence last season.
The news is even more positive given that the schedule will intensify in the coming weeks with the start of the Champions League and a shift to a three-match-per-week rhythm. A challenging period where every available player counts.
