Heart-Stopping Draw! Marseille Let Victory Slip Against Reims and Drop to Fifth in Ligue 1
Olympique de Marseille drew 2-2 against Reims, letting crucial points slip away in matchday 2 of Ligue 1 and dropping to fifth place in the French league, while Reims surprised by holding their own against one of the title favorites.
In the first half of the match, Amine Harit shocked the opposing defense with a great goal in the 25th minute, celebrating it by remembering his injured teammate. However, both teams saved the best for the second half.
In the second half, Reims staged an impressive comeback, surprising Marseille with a goal in the 51st minute, scored by Akieme Rodríguez. The visiting team continued their momentum and turned the game around in the 55th minute, thanks to a goal by Yaya Fofana, putting one of the Ligue 1 favorites on the ropes.
But, as has become customary, Greenwood stepped up as the team’s hero, salvaging a draw for Marseille and establishing himself as one of the players to watch this season.
