Bradley Barcola: The Brightest Star in Luis Enrique's PSG
There were many doubts about PSG's offensive production, but Luis Enrique has found an optimal system with Bradley Barcola as the go-to goal scorer, not just for the team, but across all of Ligue 1.
The 22-year-old player is the new attacking reference for the Parisian team, though he is well-supported on the wings by South Korean Kang-In Lee and Ousmane Dembélé—two other players who have consistently impressed by also contributing goals.
But Barcola stands out as the top scorer in the entire competition with six goals, and after this match against Rennes, he has secured his second brace of the season. If we compare his performance, for instance, with Kylian Mbappé, the latter scored seven goals during the first six matchdays of last season.
So far, Barcola has recorded two braces, having also scored twice on August 23rd against Montpellier.
In the scoring table, his closest competitor is Mason Greenwood, another pleasant surprise of the campaign. Greenwood, playing for Olympique Marseille, has scored five times, while Ousmane Dembélé holds third place.
We could say that Barcola is the sensation in France and a key player in a Paris Saint-Germain team that is once again performing at a championship level.
