(VIDEO) Jonathan David’s Amazing Hat Trick vs Le Havre
Jonathan David shut down all the haters with a stellar performance against Le Havre. After only scoring two goals in this Ligue 1 season, the runner-up in the Golden Boot race was getting a lot of heat.
But he silenced everyone in Matchday 6 of Ligue 1, netting a Hat Trick against Le Havre, pushing himself up to second place in the goal-scoring table with five goals, and securing the win for Lille.
The first goal came in the 23rd minute after a great assist from Osame Sahraoui, who then set up David again in the 35th minute for his second, wrapping up his brace before halftime. The cherry on top — or in this case, the third goal of the hat trick — came in the 79th minute, assisted by Lille’s playmaker Edon Zhegrova.
With this performance, Jonathan David notched his second Hat Trick against Le Havre in his Lille career, bringing his total tally to 90 goals for the club. He’s truly carrying his team, lifting them up to fourth place, just six points behind the leaders, PSG.
