Vinícius Reflects on Not Winning the Ballon d'Or and His Current Form
After a triumphant performance with a hat-trick in Real Madrid's dominant victory over Osasuna, Vinícius Junior shared that he feels at his peak, attributing his current form to the recovery time he had during the October international break.
"I feel great since the last break when I could stay in Madrid due to my injury. I recovered well and feel I'm at my best. I need to keep this up to help the team like last season. Hopefully, we can win many titles," he expressed on Realmadrid TV.
Vinícius also remarked on the game's quality, which marked a return to form for the team, "We played very well today, which we hadn’t been doing in recent matches. But I’m also sad for Militao, Rodrygo, and Lucas. It’s a shame we’ve had so many injuries this season. Hopefully, we can keep strong for them and they can return soon. I’m very happy about the goals, but I feel sad because Militao has to go through this again."
This match came after consecutive defeats against FC Barcelona (0-4) and Milan (1-3), and Vinícius highlighted the role of his coach, Carlo Ancelotti. "The coach found the solution and we've implemented what he told us and what we practiced these last few days. I think we need to continue like this, compact and together, to achieve great things this season," he confirmed.
"The key is always the pace of the game. We started well and strong from the beginning. We have to play like this because then good things happen," he concluded.
