The Emotional Words from Real Madrid to Varane
Real Madrid has expressed "its gratitude and affection for a player who is now part of the club's legend," such as the Frenchman Raphaël Varane, who announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 31 this Wednesday.
"Raphaël Varane will forever remain in the hearts of all Madrid fans as one of the great defenders in the history of Real Madrid and for always embodying the values of our club. Real Madrid wishes him and his entire family the best of luck in this new stage of their lives," stated the white club.
It is worth recalling that Varane joined the Madrid squad in 2011 at the age of 18 and has been one of the key players in the historic cycle that allowed the club to win four Champions League titles, three of them consecutively, between 2014 and 2018, in addition to reviewing all the trophies he obtained during his time wearing the white shirt.
The French international defender Raphaël Varane, former player of Lens, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, announced his retirement from professional football at just 31 years old through a letter published on his social media.
"They say that good things must come to an end. In my career, I have taken on many challenges, I have risen time and time again. It was supposed to be impossible. Incredible emotions, special moments, and memories that will last a lifetime. Reflecting on these moments, I announce with immense pride and satisfaction my retirement from the sport we all love," expressed the defender born in Lille.
