Atlético de Madrid has provided an update on the health status of Spanish international Robin Le Normand following the brutal head collision with Tchouaméni during the derby against Real Madrid.
Spanish international Robin Le Normand, a defender for Atlético de Madrid, is suffering from “a cranioencephalic trauma with a subdural hematoma” following a strong blow to the head during the derby against Real Madrid. The club will adhere to “the guidelines outlined in the protocol” for his return to competition.
“A series of tests and evaluations by specialists have determined that he is suffering from a cranioencephalic trauma (TCE) with a subdural hematoma,” the club’s medical report explained.
Due to this injury, the player did not travel with the team to Lisbon for the Champions League match against Benfica on Wednesday, where he will be unavailable.
“In the process of our player’s return to competition, the guidelines established in the protocol for such injuries will be followed,” Atlético added.
