Sevilla Has not Yet Received a Satisfactory Offer for En-Nesyri
Sevilla's sporting director, Víctor Orta, stated regarding potential offers for the transfer of their top scorer, Moroccan Youssef En-Nesyri, that the club "hasn't received anything" that satisfies them and "there's been no change" in his situation.
Orta made it clear during the presentation of midfielder Saúl Ñíguez, loaned from Atlético Madrid, that the Moroccan international forward "is a valuable asset for the club" and that, so far, they haven't received any formal offers for him, asserting that, although they are not considering "options" or possible interested clubs, Roma has not "officially communicated anything" to them.
Regarding the planning for the upcoming season of the Sevilla team, which has new coach Xavi García Pimienta, he indicated that "four important players have already arrived": Nigerian Chidera Ejuke (CSKA Moscow), Gerard Fernández "Peque" (Racing Santander), Belgian Sambi Lokonga (Arsenal), and Saúl Ñíguez (Atlético), so they are "very happy."
However, the Sevilla executive stated that "you always have to be open to the market" and considered that Saúl, with his season-long loan extendable for another, will "help them a lot" to be "ready for the first league match."
"Our goal is to seek balance, the daring of the young players, and the experience of the veterans. We are looking for a mixed model of good players," he specified about the approach they are trying to implement for assembling the squad.
Regarding the players excluded for this season, Joan Jordán, Belgian Adnan Januzaj, Óscar Rodríguez, Brazilian Marcao Teixeira, and Swedish Ludwig Augustinsson, Orta argued that they don't want to "name names" because they don't "like to work on that," although "there is a plan and all the players knew it, especially those who didn't play in the first friendly."
