Ronald Araujo Begins Recovery with Barcelona
The Uruguayan defender has already begun his rehabilitation at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper after undergoing surgery on Monday.
After undergoing surgery on Monday to treat his right hamstring injury, Ronald Araujo has returned to Barcelona and started his rehab at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. He also shared an emotional message on social media for the Blaugrana fans.
In the post, the Uruguayan is seen walking slowly with crutches inside the Ciutat Esportiva, and he wrote: “Starting recovery. Culers, I’ll soon be back on the pitch fighting as always,” the defender said.
Additionally, Barcelona posted a photo and video of Araujo returning to Barcelona and starting his recovery with doctors and equipment, accompanied by the caption: “Step by step, Ronald.”
The club hasn’t specified how long Araujo will be out, but he’s expected to be sidelined for at least four months, which will be a tough blow for the team heading into the 2024-2025 season.
The Blaugrana are set for a U.S. tour with three preseason matches in August, facing Real Madrid, Chelsea, and AC Milan.
