Bellingham and Mendy Out of Real Madrid's Squad List
Jude Bellingham and Ferland Mendy left out by Carlo Ancelotti for Real Madrid's match against Real Sociedad in San Sebastián.
Jude Bellingham and Ferland Mendy have been ruled out by Carlo Ancelotti for Real Madrid's match against Real Sociedad in San Sebastián and will rest in preparation for the Champions League semifinals. However, Rodrygo Goes will join the squad despite the flu-like symptoms that kept him from the last session.
Ancelotti is opting for caution with the English midfielder Bellingham, who missed Thursday's training due to stomach issues, and French left-back Mendy, who is newly recovered from muscle discomfort.
Mendy will miss his second consecutive LaLiga match, having been called up but unused in the clásico. He will also sit out against Real Sociedad so he can train in Madrid and be in peak condition for Tuesday's match against Bayern Munich.
Brazilian Rodrygo, who missed Thursday's training, has been provisionally included in the squad for the match against Real Sociedad. His condition will be assessed on Friday before the flight, and if he doesn't improve, he will be removed from the lineup.
Real Madrid's squad list for the LaLiga match against Real Sociedad includes:
Goalkeepers: Andriy Lunin, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Fran González.
