The Blaugrana club issued a statement informing that Xavi Hernandez will step down as the coach at the end of the season.
FC Barcelona President Joan Laporta informed Xavi Hernandez on Friday that he will not continue as the coach of the first team next season, as reported by the club in a statement.
The meeting took place at the Joan Gamper Sports City and was also attended by Vice President of Sports, Rafa Yuste, and Sporting Director Anderson Luís de Souza 'Deco'. Xavi's assistants, Òscar Hernández and Sergio Alegre, were also present.
Therefore, the coach from Terrassa will lead his last match as the coach of the first team in Seville this Sunday.
In the coming days, the club will announce the new technical structure, likely to be led by German Hansi Flick, with whom negotiations have been underway in recent days.
