In an interview with CNN aired this week, Lamine Yamal spoke about his deep admiration for Neymar through a curious anecdote.
"I used to watch all his videos. (...) The way Neymar played, his personality, I loved it. After school, we would meet at a friend's house to watch Neymar's videos. Then I’d go home and try to imitate him in my room," confessed the young Barcelona talent. Without a doubt, Neymar has found his biggest fan. A few months ago, Lamine Yamal had already made his admiration for the former FC Barcelona player clear, the club where he now shines and which has launched him to the highest level.

"I was 5 years old when I saw him playing for Santos and 7 years old when I saw him in person at the Camp Nou with Barcelona. It was incredible to see him live. Of course, Messi was also there, and he was amazing," said Lamine Yamal while reminiscing about his memories, before continuing with his praise for the Brazilian star.

"But he was something completely different. Neymar has always been my idol. He’s a star, a football legend," stated Lamine Yamal, who was mesmerized by the Brazilian’s spectacular playing style, even as Lionel Messi, another football great, dominated opposing defenses. Today, the young Barcelona talent has taken on that mantle, dazzling defenders, unsettling backlines, and leading the Blaugrana attack despite his young age.

This was evident in his latest performance against Athletic Club Bilbao in the semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup, where he once again shone and proved that his talent is worthy of the greatest.
