Militao Injured: How Long Will He Be Out?
The Brazilian defender left the Canarinha training camp due to an injury, which Real Madrid has now reported. This adds to the challenges facing the club.
Brazilian defender Éder Militao of Real Madrid has returned to Madrid after traveling to São Paulo due to muscular discomfort that prevented him from playing for his national team against Chile and Peru. Real Madrid confirmed that he has suffered a muscle injury in his left quadriceps.
Tests conducted on Militao on Tuesday, the day Real Madrid resumed training, revealed a minor muscle issue. In the last LaLiga EA Sports match, where Carlo Ancelotti's team defeated Villarreal, Dani Carvajal sustained a serious knee injury, while Vinícius suffered a cervical problem that kept him from traveling to Brazil, and Militao had to fly back to the Spanish capital.
"After tests conducted on our player Éder Militão by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the left quadriceps. He is pending evolution," stated the report released by the club.
The coaching staff is hopeful that Militao can recover during the two-week international break and will explore options to have him ready for the match on Saturday, October 19, when they return to competition against Celta de Vigo.
