Lunin Didn't Congratulate Thibaut Courtois After Champions League Win
There has been no relationship beyond the professional between Andriy Lunin and Thibaut Courtois in the three years they have shared a locker room at Real Madrid. And now, it could worsen, after seeing how the Ukrainian had to give up his place to the Belgian during the Champions League final.
And although their relationship has improved, without becoming friends, according to Relevo, Lunin did not take the time to congratulate Courtois after winning the "Fifteenth," avoiding him at all times except for a photo taken with the three goalkeepers and their coach Lluis Llopis.
The same information not only points to a distance between the goalkeepers but also claims that Lunin could be sold to Atlético Madrid, who are reportedly interested. However, it should be noted that his release clause amounts to $270 million.
The truth is that the Ukrainian has better offers, with teams like Bayern Munich, Arsenal, and Manchester United inquiring about him. He was willing to leave but changed his mind, feeling like a starter and choosing to renew until 2028.
