Liverpool to Sign Kubo, Giving Real Madrid Over $30 Million
Real Sociedad has been a launching pad for new young stars fighting for attention in the market, from Zubimendi and Mikel Merino to now Takefusa Kubo. Kubo is set to head to Liverpool FC, who will pay his release clause, which is split between Real Sociedad and Real Madrid.
According to the Japanese newspaper "Sponichi," there’s already an agreement between Kubo and Liverpool on his salary. The "Reds" are ready to pay his $65 million release clause, of which $32.5 million will go to Real Madrid, who own 50% of the Japanese player’s rights.
Kubo, a key player in Imanol's scheme, made 30 appearances out of 38 in La Liga last season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists from the right wing, also playing in the Champions League with Real Sociedad. Is this the signing Liverpool needs to revamp their attack?
