Lamine Yamal Gets Injured!
Barcelona has confirmed that Lamine Yamal will not be available for tonight's match against Real Sociedad. Despite traveling with the team to San Sebastián, the young forward has been ruled out following a medical report from the club, which explained that Yamal suffered a significant bruise to his right ankle during last Wednesday's Champions League game against Red Star. Although he has received treatment, discomfort persists, leading Barça to decide against risking his participation.
His absence not only affects tonight's game but also casts doubt on his availability for Spain’s upcoming international commitments. Yamal is expected to miss the qualifying matches Spain will play against Denmark and Switzerland, scheduled for November 15 and 18.
This is the second La Liga match Yamal will miss this season, after sitting out the game against Osasuna in September. On that occasion, he started on the bench but came on in the second half, scoring a goal in a 4-2 loss—Barcelona’s only defeat in the tournament so far.
