Hansi Flick Declares These Two Barcelona Players Untouchables
The new coach of the Blaugrana club is determined to have these two players in the squad for the upcoming season.
Barcelona is already planning for the next season following Hansi Flick's appointment as the new head coach. While it's yet to be determined how capable the club will be in acquiring new players during this transfer window, the new coach has clearly identified a couple of players he is adamant about retaining.
According to Sport, these players are Pedri and Ronald Araujo. Flick considers both players to be non-transferable and crucial to the tactical system he intends to implement for the upcoming season with the Catalan team.
Regarding the Canarian midfielder, Flick even compares Pedri to Jamal Musiala, a player he introduced to the first team during his time as Bayern Munich's coach.
As for the Uruguayan central defender, Flick sees Araujo as an essential component for the defense, especially valuing his ability to cover ground and his strength in open play. This makes Araujo a vital part of the defensive setup Flick envisions.
Previously, Araujo's future was uncertain under Xavi's management, with rumors suggesting he might leave the club this summer. However, the situation has now changed, and both Araujo and Pedri are seen as cornerstone figures in Flick's project at Barcelona.
