According to British outlet TBR Football, Chelsea is set to make a move for Jules Koundé during the winter transfer window, with a proposed fee of $64 million (£51 million). The London club aims to strengthen its defense by adding a new right-back, given Reece James' ongoing struggles with multiple muscle injuries.

The Blues have specifically targeted Koundé, who was previously on their radar in the summer of 2022. However, Koundé chose to join FC Barcelona after Xavi Hernández personally persuaded him. Nevertheless, it is highly unlikely that Jules Koundé will leave FC Barcelona mid-season.
