A Significant Absence for Real Madrid
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti shared both good and bad news, with Dani Carvajal and Jude Bellingham at the center of attention.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Dani Carvajal will miss the match against Alavés, as he hasn’t recovered in time from the quadriceps injury he suffered on Saturday against Espanyol. However, Ancelotti assured that the vice-captain will be fit for the Madrid derby on Sunday at the Metropolitano.
"Carvajal hasn’t recovered from the knock, he needs a few more days, but he will be available for Sunday," Ancelotti confirmed, making it clear that his player will be ready to face Atlético Madrid.
Bellingham
There is no need to rest Jude Bellingham, despite him feeling discomfort in his left shoulder again, an issue that had subsided in recent months. The midfielder had to resume using the shoulder protection he wore for much of last season and will be fit to face Alavés.
"Bellingham’s shoulder is the same issue as last year. It hasn't affected him, and he’s recovered again. He needs to wear the protection for more security, but he will play," Ancelotti assured.
Camavinga
Regarding Real Madrid’s injured players, Ancelotti outlined Eduardo Camavinga’s return plan, with the Frenchman set to rejoin the team’s training sessions on Thursday and likely be available for the derby. He also highlighted the progress of Dani Ceballos.
"Camavinga’s plan is to train with the team from Thursday. We rest after Wednesday’s match, and he’ll be available for the derby. Ceballos is recovering well, quite quickly. Today, he ran for the first time and feels good. We’re on the right track," he concluded.
