The number ten matched the milestone by scoring in Albiceleste’s 2-0 victory over Canada in the tournament's first semifinal, which is being held in the United States.

If Argentina manages to lift the Copa América after the final on Sunday, July 14, against either Uruguay or Colombia, they would match the feat only achieved by Spain of winning consecutive regional, world, and regional titles, as La Roja did in the Euro 2008, World Cup 2010, and Euro 2012.
