Brazil Loses Vinicius for Quarter-Final Clash Against Uruguay
The Real Madrid forward received a yellow card for hitting James Rodríguez, was at risk of suspension, and will miss the match against Uruguay due to the ban.
Brazil complicated its path in the Copa América after drawing against Colombia in the last Group D match, now having to face Uruguay in the quarter-finals, but they will do so without Vinícius Júnior due to suspension.
The Canarinha winger, who was at risk of suspension, was booked for hitting James Rodríguez near the area in the 7th minute of the match when the score was 0-0.
The Real Madrid forward was one of four players at risk of missing the next round with Brazil.
Learning to Play Without Vinicius
Brazil head coach Dorival Junior insisted that his team must learn to play without Vinicius Junior following their 1-1 draw with Colombia in California.
The Real Madrid forward, who has scored twice for Brazil in the Copa América, will be available for the semi-final match if they beat Marcelo Bielsa's side.
"Unfortunately, we have already lost a key player like Neymar for a long time," he said.
"And we have to learn that at certain moments, we will not have important players in a game. Others will have to step up. And I think that is the way. We will have a difficult game against Uruguay."
